Terms and Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions before hiring bunting. In hiring Bunting from Bunting Central you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions:
Hire Period
Bunting is usually hired for a period of 4 days including the day that the bunting is delivered. Bunting is delivered or collected on a Friday (Day 1) and is either returned directly to us, or posted to us, on a Monday (Day 4). If bunting is returned after the hire period a late return fee will be deducted from your deposit. You may hire the bunting for longer or different periods, however this must be arranged by us before the event. Postage is by Royal Mail guaranteed next day service. Postage costs with this service currently (October 2013) range from £8.20 to £32.40, for 2-12 strings of bunting delivered to you and returned.
Payment
To secure your booking, we will require your returnable deposit, with the full balance being due no later than 14 days from the start of your booking. This will include postage both ways (unless you are collecting it yourself). Please note we will require full payment before sending out bunting to your event. By paying by BACS or cheque to P White you are agreeing to our terms and conditions of hire.
Late Return Fee
A late return of the bunting will affect other clients’ bookings. To avoid a 'late return fee', bunting must be returned within the specified hire term. The late return fee will be charged on a per day basis i.e. one day late will incur a cost of 20% of the 4 day hire fee, two days late will incur a 40% cost of the 4 day hire fee. Please note that if the bunting has not been returned within three days of the agreed date and we have not heard from you, the police may be notified. Any extra costs incurred by us due to your late return will also be deducted from your deposit, e.g. same day delivery costs to ensure the bunting is delivered to the next client on time.
Damaged Bunting
In the event of damage to our bunting, please do not attempt to repair or wash this yourself, but please notify us as soon as possible and the cost of the repair will be deducted from your deposit. If this cost exceeds the deposit amount, you will be invoiced accordingly with full details of repairs carried out.
Deposit
Deposit is to be paid at the time of booking and is charged at 80 pence per metre of bunting hired. The deposit is to ensure the bunting is returned on time and in good condition. Good condition means that it has been returned folded in the box/bag that it was sent out in and is not damaged or dirty. When bunting is safely returned on time and if after inspection, no loss or damage has occurred, we will quickly return your full deposit. However in the unlikely event that we have to replace or repair any lost bunting, this will be deducted from your deposit. Please note that late return fees will also incur loss from the deposit. Deposit is to be paid by BACS or cheque to P White.
Use
Bunting may only be used for the event/by the person stated when the booking was made. It may not be sublet or lent during or following the agreed hire term. It must be noted that the bunting is not fireproof and it should be positioned safely so as to ensure there is no risk to health, and it should not be used for any purpose other than decoration.
Fixing bunting
Bunting should be hung by tying string (attached to the bunting) to beams, poles, pillars, hooks etc. Do not wrap bunting around trees, dirty beams etc. You can also use pegs, masking tape, metal ties - anything that won't damage or mark the bunting. Please no staples, blu tack or tape that leaves a residue, or damages the ribbon.
Privacy Policy
Details from clients will not be passed on to any 3rd parties.
Cancellation
Cancellation after your booking has been confirmed and payment has been received by us will result in a loss of your full deposit unless Bunting Central is able to re-hire the bunting on the date of your event.
Indemnity
You shall be responsible for and indemnify us against all loss or damage to or by the bunting from whatever cause arising.
